Info & More
Information regarding scholarships, application process and qualifications will be located here for reference.
What are Scholarships?
Scholarships enable athletes to pursue football or cheerleading despite financial challenges. While full-season scholarships may not be available, we encourage individuals with athletes who possess the love, passion, and drive for these sports to apply. Our organization takes pride in its ability to unite our community and provide our youth with the chance to showcase their full potential, even during difficult times.
Application Process
We require an application with proof of financial hardship. Please ensure that these documents are submitted by the specified deadline to facilitate the processing and approval of your application. Applications will be reviewed monthly, and awards will be made by the end of each month. All final scholarships will be distributed by July 1st, 2025, along with an expiration date for the use of credits.
How to Qualify
When it comes to qualifying, we consider several factors. Proof of financial hardship must be identified through documentation- Income guidelines based on the current year State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Public Assistance guidelines, proof of discounted utilities or a detailed explanation of circumstances. These requests will be reviewed, discussed, and voted upon by the Board of Directors.
How to Apply
If you believe you meet the criteria, kindly complete the application form and submit the necessary documents before the deadline. Failure to adhere to all the necessary steps outlined by the Monroe Youth Football Association will result in the denial of your application.
How much will the MYFA cover?
Each household will be eligible for a varying amount of assistance towards their registration expenses in the form of account credits. Scholarships may cover a portion of registration fees. Funding is limited, and scholarships are not guaranteed to all applicants.
